Over the past 15 years the much used desktop didnt have many changes.However , with the recent advances in this field like the LCD monitor and the “small form factor” motherboard are allowing PC vendors to create new form factors, like the all-in-one computer or the “cube” or “lunch box” style PC. The new PCs, like the latest innovations these days are starting out in the consumer market, but will be coming to an enterprise desktop near you in the not-too-distant future.
1) Apple iMac

I do disagree however with the premise that all in one’s desktops will be in the enterprise “in the not-too-distant future”. These are just too sexy and glamorous for the corporate world. Companies are just too conservative to make moves like this especially if it’s for aesthetic reasons. They’re still even using XP! Heck, I’ve seen companies that still have their desktops like back in the old days with the monitor sitting on top of the box.
But it’s refreshing to see new form factors. Any thoughts out there?
