5 must have FREE Video Player, Editor & Converter software for Windows PC

As the name suggests today we are going to have a full discussion on everything one should have in order to watch, Edit and Convert videos fully at his/her own. Have you ever been unable to play a video and got an error related to codec? Then this article will be the perfect answer for you. The best thing about this is of course all of them are Freewares, so there is no need to worry about buying them. We shall categorize it in three parts

1. Video Playes: Used to watch/Play movies or any other videos
2. Video Editors: Used to edit/cut or modify videos which you like
3. Video Converters: Used to convert videos from one format to another. For eg: MPEG–>AVI

So here we go…
1. Video Playes:
There are of course many! But for a Windows PC these two are my favorite..

Windows Media Player with K-lite Codec pack:
Nothing to beat this combination. With all the codec packs installed properly you can empower default Windows Media Player to play what ever Video you like. Here is what you need to do:

• Download the Latest version of Windows Media Player [If you still have not. But you CAN SKIP THIS STEP if you really feel so]
• Download and install the latest version of K-Lite codec pack from here. During the installation just select Lots of stuffs in order to avoid any future codec errors [You wont have it anyways! Trust me]

And you are done. Try to watch any video and Klite codec pack will automatically load the necessary Codecs.

TIP: During the installation of K-Lite codec pack another player called Media Player Classic is installed. Try it from Start Menu ► All Programs ► K-Lite Codec Pack ► Media Player Classic. It is less bulky than Windows Media player and you will definitely love this one.

VLC Player:
Now this is another great Media player for your Windows and even MAC and Linux PC. All you need to do is to download this software and install. There is no need to install any other codecs. VLC will automatically install them for you.

2. Video Editors:
When we talk about FREE video Editors then two names come first ► a) Movica b) VirtualDub . For Simpler editing I prefer Movica whereas if you would like to do more then you Should go for VirtualDub. Here are the download links from them. SImply download and Install
